The importance of hydration
Drinking sufficiently high quality water is essential for health. We need water in our bodies for many reasons, we use water; to carry blood, to remove toxins, to lubricate, to regulate temperature & for digestion. The average person loses 2.5 litres of water a day. This occurs from the loss of water vapor from the lungs, sweat from the skin & through the kidney as urine. Exercise and strenuous activity will cause additional loses.
Dehydration is something to be avoided. Commonly dehydration will cause lethargy, sunken eyes, headaches, dizziness, muscle cramps, decreased blood pressure, orthostatic hypotension, delirium & in extreme cases death.
